General Information for our customers:
Thank you for being a valued customer of our yard service family.
This page is our General Information page for our month-to-month customers.
There are several key requirements that we need all customers to be aware of before starting service.
LAWN PREP
Each week before arriving at the lawn, we need the lawn cleared off of any debris (i.e., trash, toys, rocks, balls (anything that we can't mow over) and most especially pet waste.
(If pet waste removal is NOT part of your service plan we need to have all of the pet waste cleaned up prior to lawn cuttings. The pet waste can carry harmful bacteria and increase likelihood picking up in and on our machines and spreading infectious lawn diseases.)
NOTE: If we arrive to maintain the property and we have to clear debris or pet waste off prior
there will be a "Lawn pickup charge" billed according to time spent clearing those items.
PERSONAL SAFTEY
Prior to cutting we must also have ALL PETS put in kennels or indoors. We have a crew that will come in your yard with loud equipment and earmuffs on and cannot be alerted properly with unfamiliar animals.
While any dog breed on a property can pose an attack-risk for one of our crew members for high risk reasons we
DO NOT normally do lawns with following Dog Breeds or Similar Mixed Breeds:
Pit bull terrier, Dobermann, Rottweiler, Bulldog, Boxer, Wolf dog Hybrid. *Please contact me with questions or concerns.
BILLING SCHEDULE
If we HAVE NOT received payment for the next month's service by the last day of the previous month, service will discontinue until payment is received. Payment is due BEFORE the 1st day of each service month.
LAWN SERVICE
We use professional grade, top of the line equipment. Our mower's high tip blade speeds and new micro-mulch blades make mulching much more efficient and therefore a great cost savings to customers. Contrary to a popular lawn myth, leaving clippings on the lawn, does not cause thatch, which is a layer of partially decomposed grass-plant parts between the soil and live grass. Grass clippings are mostly water, so as long as you mow regularly at the right height, and blow off well they will break down and disappear rapidly. We have experimented for the last 2 years with bagging to attempt to reduce fungus effects. But with the results found fungus and bacteria in lawns more likely comes from over-wet lawns and unremoved dog waste carrying bacteria, than anything to do with mulching.
WATERING
We need to be responsible for our water restrictions adopted in Southern Utah. We cannot cut a wet lawn, therefore we require that sprinklers are off the night before and morning of the day we mow so we get a clean dry cut. Recently with the recommendation of watering 3x per week (Mon., Wed., Fri. for even numbered houses and Tue., Thur., Sat. for odd numbered houses) sprinklers are now coming on at many homes in conflict with our cutting schedule. This is an easy fix. If you are an "odd number house" and your lawn is also mowed on a Tue, Thurs, or Sat. You will need to set your sprinklers to Water on those days in the evenings instead of mornings. Likewise, if you are an "even numbered" home and your lawn is also cut on a Mon, Wed or Fri you will need to water on those days but in the evenings of those days. With a dry cut we are able to keep our decks cleaner and get a better cut also your risk of lawn fungus is lessened when a lawn is cut dry.
*Please let us know if you have any questions on which day your yard is serviced. I would be happy to help you set your timer in our spring rotation.
